Exploring the Dynamics of Family:
A Student Research Conference on Family Life and Black Family Experiences
This conference gathers students from Hampton University and nearby institutions to share and discuss their innovative research on various aspects of family life, with a special emphasis on the unique experiences of Black families. Attendees will explore the evolving nature of family structures, roles, and relationships by addressing topics such as parenting styles, intergenerational dynamics, and the impact of cultural, economic, and social changes. The event showcases the rich diversity and resilience of Black family life while fostering a broader understanding of family dynamics. With engaging poster and oral presentations, the conference provides a platform for students to showcase their research and engage in academic dialogue on the intersection of family life and identity.
